Hello, everyone!
My name is Mrs. Doney and I am thrilled to be teaching high school English Language Arts at Hays Lodgepole School. I love working with youth, and I find a delight in pushing my students to their highest academic potential. I look forward to a new and exciting school year!
The focus for high school English Language Arts emphasizes the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, viewing and presenting. We will study various literary genres including nonfiction, short story, poetry, novel, and drama. The development of close reading and writing mastery is a major emphasis of the course, as is vocabulary and grammatical skills.
