Content:
This course examines the basic structure of local, state and national governments. Democratic values and citizens participation will be stressed throughout this course. Current issues in government will be examined as well as the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence.
Expectations:
- Come to class on time, and be prepared to learn.
- Use appropriate behavior, every person has the right to learn.
- Complete all homework and projects on time.
- Participate in class discussions.
Skills Taught:
- The ability to relate the importance of knowledge about the workings of history and its impact on daily lives past and present.
- Use of Unit Organizers/T=Graphs/Remote Learning.
- Summarization of text information.
- Ability to gather research information for power points/ term papers.
