Hays Lodgepole High School Hosts Comedian and Inspirational Speaker Donovan "Beef" Archambault
HAYS, MT – Hays Lodgepole High School had the pleasure of hosting comedian and inspirational speaker Donovan “Beef” Archambault on February 5, 2025, at 11:45 AM. Archambault, a member of the Fort Belknap Indian Community, currently resides in Poplar, MT with his wife and children. His visit brought laughter, energy, and an uplifting message to students and staff alike.
The assembly kicked off with interactive icebreaker games, beginning with a "Native-style" Rock, Paper, Scissors challenge for staff. After an intense competition, Mrs. Susan Werk was crowned the World Champion. Students then participated in another elimination game called “Sweep Your Tipi,” with Shaydyn Blount and Ashaunee HorseCapture emerging as champions. Their prize request? Hot Cheetos and Hot Funyuns, which Principal Ms. Cochran gladly agreed to provide.
Following the games, Beefy entertained the crowd with his comedic antics, a humorous song, and engaging interactions with students and staff. His jokes and storytelling had the audience laughing and engaged.
Beyond the humor, Archambault shared a powerful message about the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone and taking healthy risks. He spoke about his own journey into comedy, the challenges he faced, and the positive risks he has encouraged his own children to take. His words resonated with students, inspiring them to embrace opportunities and new experiences.
Students were given the opportunity to ask questions and connect with him, reinforcing his commitment to uplifting youth. After the event, Archambault headed to Harlem for his next show.
