Welcome to Physical Science! - Mr. Benson 

This class is required for freshmen at HLP High School. Topics covered will include density, oceanography, geology, meteorology, Newton's Laws, heat transfer, electricity, magnetism, astronomy, etc.

Grades are based on two things - participation (50%) and scores on assignments, etc. (50%). Students lose participation points for non school-related absences (0/5), sleeping in class, tardies, using cell phones, and misbehaving. Students can do make-up assignments to earn 4 of the 5 participation points they lose for each absence up to 15 absences per semester. After 15 absences, they will be stuck with the zeros.
